I am a fully Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist offering long and short-term therapy and counselling in Birmingham. My work is tailored to your specific needs, and is both informed and inspired by Gestalt philosophy, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, and Transcultural Therapy.
I have a wide range of experience in psychological and emotional difficulties which include anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, unresolved childhood troubles, trauma, and sexual, emotional and physical abuse. I work with cultural identity, sexual identity and gender identity, in addition to stress, bereavement and loss.
I specialise in helping you to be your authentic self and to develop a deep sense of compassion for yourself and others. In our work, you have the opportunity to explore issues that you haven't been able to resolve in other relationships, both in the past and in the present.

I have background in social work, and I have worked for voluntary and private organisations as well as a number of local authorities. I hold an honorary contract with the NHS Health Gay Life Umbrella Service; where I deliver services as an Associate Counsellor and Psychotherapist. This is in addition to maintaining a private psychotherapy practice. I attend regular workshops to ensure my knowledge base is up to date.
I have a Master's Degree in Psychotherapy and a Master's Degree in Social Work. I studied for 5 years to achieve my MSc in Psychotherapy, and that included following a process just as you might; where I entrusted myself to work with a psychotherapist. In that sense I am compassionate to your experience. I have a deep love for humanity, and through my love I have committed to a strict code of ethics with the UKCP, UPCA and BACP which promises you that I will not abuse your trust and vulnerability. I hold an enhanced police check, and I'm fully insured.
